Our initial data release includes the forward horn current (neutrino-dominated) playlists in “medium energy” (6 GeV average beam energy). The reverse horn current (antineutrino-dominated) playlists are being reprocessed and when done they will be posted. The “low energy” (3 GeV average beam energy) will also be provided soon. We’ll also provide “special samples” of particular channels.
The data files are in .root format. But within that format, the branches are relatively flat and could be exported to a number of other common formats to suit a user’s preference.
There are three ways to get access to the data, all utilizign xrootd. If there are requests for an additional pathway, please reach out. From offsite, you can use xrootd to stream the file. Also from offsite, you can use xrdcp to copy the file. From inside Fermilab’s computing environment, you can arrange to mount our pnfs persistent directory.
Here is a list of text files with directory names, one file per playlist. Use them with xrootd streaming from the pnfs mount if you are working within Fermilab’s computing environment. Direct use is not advised as it will overload the cache (Fermilab internal: dCache) system. Combine the individual file names or script through the lists with the appropriate script to get one or all of them to an offsite location.
Example of what the xrootd and xrdcp command looks like:
xrdcp root://fndcadoor.fnal.gov:1095/pnfs/fnal.gov/usr/minerva/persistent/OpenData/[path/filename] [destination]
An example of the [path/filename] for one file would be:
MediumEnergy_FHC/MC/StandardMC/Playlist1A/MasterAnaDev_mc_AnaTuple_run00110000_Playlist.root
This full xrootd path for the available files are listed in the text files for each playlist in the tables below, as well as in the respective tables for the special samples linked at the end of this page.

Medium Energy Neutrino (RHC) Playlist 6I Water Division
The water target was emptied part way through playlist 6I. For analyses where studying the portions separately is pertinent, we have separated the playlist here. The files below are the same as those above just categorized based on the presence or absence of water in the water target.
